With the first run of Mclaren MP4-26, Force India VJM04 and Virgin Racing VR-02 on the track, all the 11 teams participating in the Jerez Test are on the new machinery with 2011 season car out on track. Hispania Racing Team (HRT) have not participated in the Jerez test in lieu of photoshoot for Pirelli Tyres and also have not yet released their 2011 challenger car.

The new Force india VJM04 had a photoshoot earlier in the morning before heading for the action.

All the teams carried a 'Get Well Soon Robert' message on their cars in Jerez.

There were lot of Red flags that had been seen throughout the day. With first and second red flags are caused by Perez, Sauber and then by Petrov, Renault. Most of the teams suffered from one or the other problem throughout the day.

Massa remain quickest throughout the day by improving on its own best times. He set the best time in his 7th Lap itself. Only for few moments it was Daniel Ricciardo.

Team continued to collect information on Pirelli as they brought all four compounds of dry tyre to Jerez (super soft, soft, medium and hard), as well as intermediates and wets. But, there's no way to identify which compound is on a car at any given time.

It was a careful start for Force India's first run out with its 2011 car, but at the end of the day Adrian Sutil did 11 consecutive laps, circulating mainly in the 1m24s. He also did the best of his 28 laps early in that stint, putting him seventh at the end of the day. As the team had done a lot of system check was done in the morning for the new car by doing several installation lap and finally going for a longer stint in the afternoon.

It was another day of testing that Mercedes has completed without yet showing any signs of a frontrunning pace. Nico Rosberg's times slipped from 1m24s to 1m26s on his longest run of the day, 17 laps - though he did set his best time of the day - a 1m23.963s - on the third lap of that stint, while carrying a significant fuel load.

Vitaly Petrov and Pastor Maldonado put their personal best just before the end of the day.
