Hamilton wants to give 100,000 home racing fans something to celebrate by putting on an impressive show in the British Grand Prix.
Following Sebastian Vettel's sixth victory from eight races at the European grand prix in Valencia, the 26-year-old suggested his chances of beating the German were almost nil.
However, he has changed his mind and insists he can win in front of his home support at the Northamptonshire circuit.
"I'm massively psyched, in particular because all the fans will be there, so I really hope we can have a good weekend."
