It has been confirmed on the Metallica website that they are going to rock India. They confirmed the news on Monday.
"Metallica has confirmed their First Ever show on Indian Soil on the occasion of the First Ever Indian Grand Prix."
There first official visit to the country will come at a time when high adrenaline will be rushing into the every Indian Body with the Inaugural Indian Grand Prix, Oct 30, 2011.
The heavy metal giants, famous for anthems like Enter Sandman…, Nothing Else Matters… and For Whom The Bell Tolls…, under F1 Rocks, will be rocking First Ever Indian Grand Prix, on October 28, 2011 in Gurgaon, Near Delhi, India.
They have quoted as, "At this stage in the game, there are very few places in the world that we have not dragged our gear and crew to, so that makes this show announcement extra special . . . for the first time ever, we will be visiting India for two shows!"
"Up first will be Delhi on October 28, 2011 at F1 Rocks, held in Leisure Valley, Sector 29, Gurgaon as we help to celebrate the first Grand Prix race ever held in India. Night number two will find us at the Bangalore Palace Ground, Main Palace, Bangalore, on October 30 as part of the Sonisphere Festival."
So, it will be a double delight for India as Metallica will be in Delhi as well as Bangalore for their First Tour in India.
There is a lot of fan fare in India for Metallica.
Those who would like to watch their favorite band performing can book the tickets on www.ticketgenie.in and www.dnanetworks.com as the Sale of Ticket start on May 4.
However the time of the Show is yet to be confirmed.
Earlier, Bassist Robert Trujillo, who replaced Jason New sted in the Californian heavy metal outfit, said in an interview with the Inland Empire Weekly magazine
“We are going to play India in October. That should be interesting, playing in a place we never thought in our wildest dreams we’d (go) to play.”
