Hispania Racing Team principal, Colin Kolles, has recently updated the media that they aimed to beat the Virgin team in the up-coming race of 2011 season. He added that Virgin was ahead of HRT in the China race but it is possible to catch up to them in Turkey.

The reporters also informed that HRT Chief, Geoff Willis, is still busy, working hard and making improvements to the new ‘F111’ car. However, the team has planned to verify these upgrades in Friday free practice at Istanbul Park, on May 6, 2011.

The team principal discussed the updates which included both, mechanical and aerodynamic, aspects of the F111 car. He said that they can hope for a good show in the Turkish Grand Prix because of these updates.

He went on to say, "I believe that the Turkish Grand Prix should see Hispania Racing take the next step. Istanbul Park is a track that, due to its nature, should be favourable for us. Add to that, the fact that we have aerodynamic and mechanical updates for this race and I think that, if the data is confirmed on track, we should be able to beat our closest rivals”.

HRT had a very disappointing start to the 2011 season but they are still busy, focusing on the improvements in their performance and working hard for their positive results.

Kolles told the media, "I think that, due to the tyre situation, we should see a very close race, anything is possible. In terms of speed, Red Bull is ahead but you never know what will happen".

The team driver, Vitantonio Liuzzi, also hopes for a positive outcome in the Turkey race. He said that HRT must do better in the race since the car has been updated for Istanbul to produce their best show in the race.

The team’s target for the next race of this season, in Turkey, will take place on May 8, 2011. It will be interesting to see how HRT manages to catch Virgin in the race.
