Richard Branson to serve the bet he lost to Tony Fernandes on May 1

The bet between the two airlines holder Richard Branson (owner of the Virgin Group and title sponsor of Virgin Racing) and Tony Fernandes (owner of Air Asia and Team Principal of Team Lotus), new comers of 2010 - Team Lotus and Virgin Racing is finally going to being honoured.

The Loser of the bet have to dress up and serve as a flight attendant in the rival airline.

The bet was - To finish ahead of the other in 2010 constructor standing. The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix confirmed Lotus in tenth place in the constructors championship with Virgin 12th behind HRT.

So Richard had agreed to serve the bet last year soon after the Abu Dhabi race.

Billionaire Richard Branson will have his legs shaved in public on the flight. He will dress up as a female flight attendant on a special charity flight from London to Kuala Lumpur on May 1st, 2011. The Virgin group founder will hand the razor to one of the 160 passengers on the flight. The lucky one to have this honour will be the person who will donate the most for the charity.

The winner of the auction may pay upto $650,000.

"As an Air Asia flight attendant, Richard would have to comply to our grooming standards, and that includes shaving his legs," Fernandes said in a statement released by Air Asia.

"Rather than shave him myself, Richard and I thought we could have a bit of fun, engage with our guests and raise more money for charity if we opened up the opportunity to the highest bidder"
