Formula One Force India F1 team launches its hunt for next F1 Driver from India with Force India Formula One Academy.

Dr. Vijay Mallya speaks his heart out at the launch of Force India Formula One Academy. He discuss about: Why he named Force India as Force India? What it to be in Formula One? What are the weak points in 2011 and future plans of Force India (upgrades). Answered questions that always been asked to him. He talked about the criticism he faced for not having a Indian Driver in Force India and also about the Force India Formula One Academy.

For Why he purchased Spykar and renamed it Force India...

He commented, "I have been involved in motorsport for more than 30years."

"I fondly remember the time, we used to build our home made specials in our garages and used to race them. In Sholavaram, Chennai, we have bamboo stand and 70000 people come to watch the race. Atmosphere was completely electrified."

"We have Maruti arrived, we thought we can break through in Motorsport. Then Coimbatore build the first Indian Single Seater. But nobody everthought of having F1 Team."

"That was my vision and dream"

"I named Force India as Force India because I wanted to share that national pride and passion with all the racing enthusiast in India."



For the performance of Force India...

"F1 is a sport fighting for 100th of a second."

"In 1st Year, Spykar scored no point. We didnt have any opportunity to do anything."

"We set a roadmap, that we will score point in 2009. In 2010, we will regularly score points and in 2011 we will aim for podium finishes."

"Nothing could give me more pleasure, if we score podium finish for inaugural India GP"


Losing by Single Point the 6th position in the constructors last year...

"We have lost by single point. Now I realized how important each single point really is."



For 2011 Season...

"We realized during the last test in Barcelona that we needed to establish more reliability and we need to work on our Aerodynamics."

"We are working very hard, 24x7 to install upgrades. We will install upgrades starting in Shanghai and continue to install to Europe."

"We have greater upgrades ready for early European season that will make huge difference to our performance."



For those who thinks Force India has achieved nothing...

"Come and spend time and come to know how difficult it is to score even the single point is."

"To come 10th out of 24th is hell lot of an achievement."



For those who criticize me with not having an Indian Driver...

"There is no country as passionate about motorsports as Italy and how iconic Ferrari is to Italy and to Italians, and I wonder how many Italian Drivers are there in Ferrari car's"

"I can name many teams that don't necessarily put nationality of their own into the driving seats."

"But I am determined that one day I will. I know that around 1.2billion Indians there is one Lewis Hamilton and I am gonna find out that Lewis Hamilton is"

"Vision to put Indian Driver to F1 car and also for Indian to win the world Championship."
