Sameer Gaur, MD and CEO of Jaypee Sports International Limited (JPSI) confirmed that the Spectators have to pay a minimum of Rs. 2500 for the weekend (3 Days) - 28-30 October.

Gaur commented, "We are in the final stages of deciding the pricing of tickets for the Indian Grand prix. We want to involve as many people as possible, not just from Delhi/NCR but other parts too."

"The tickets will be moderately priced. The sale of tickets is likely to commence in a month's time."

"At this time, I can only say that the lowest denomination of the tickets would be approx Rs 2,500 for the weekend."

"The price of the grandstand ticket will be around Rs 30,000-35,000."

With the stands boasting of a capacity of about 120,000, Gaur said the organizers will consider providing discounted tickets to the students.

The organizers are also considering providing feeder buses from metro stations and different parts of Delhi for easy accessibility at no extra cost.

If this price is retained when tickets officially go on sale, it would make a general admission pass at the Indian GP the cheapest on offer with the exception of the Malaysian GP in Sepang, which costs around Rs 1,400. It has to be noted that the Malaysian GP is a project backed by their government while the Indian GP is privately funded.

The Inaugural Indian Grand Prix, recently named as Buddh International Circuit (BIC) will set for homolagation in July end or early August.

The name has been chosen with reference to the area where the track is situated - Gautam Budh Nagar district, near Greater Noida, around 40 kilometres from New Delhi.
