Ross Brawn's decision to rescue hundreds of jobs and the Honda Formula One team, have netted him over £100 million.
The former Ferrari and Honda team principal along with Nick Fry had bought the team from Honda for just £1 in a management buyout.
The team was later renamed Brawn GP and went onto win both world titles during the 2009 season.
A majority stake in the team was later sold to Daimler/Mercedes and Aarbar investments at the end of '09, with the team becoming Mercedes GP.
Earlier this month, it was announced that the aforementioned companies had acquired the remaining 24.9% stake from Brawn and Fry.
Nick Fry and Ross Brawn made an estimated £150m from sale of Brawn.
Fry is believed to have received £56m with Brawn getting a total of £100m. The remaining £26m was split between the other directors who ran the team before Mercedes and Aabar.
After a management buyout from Honda, Brawn held 54% stake with 31% owned by Fry and remaining 15% in hands of four other directors.
The total buyout valued the team at £180m.
