Chennai, India born Parthiva Sureshwaren is up for Formula 2 for his 2nd season after going through the learning paces and making a "steady progress up the grid in 2010".
The 31 year driver feels he can be a serious contender in F2 this year.
The driver announced on Saturday, 12 March, that he would race another season in F2, an FIA feeder series to Formula One.
Parthiva will be the second Indian on the grid this year alongside Armaan Ebrahim, who had his first podium in F2 last season.
"I'm very excited to return to F2 as I saw an improvement as the year went on in 2010. It was good to find my feet last year but with the understanding of the car under my belt, I will look to be among the points from the start of the season," said Parthiva, who made his international mark in A1GP in 2006 where he raced for Team India with F1 driver Narain Karthikeyan.
