The 23-year-old F1 Driver Sebastian Vettel had been linked with a move to Ferrari in 2012, but the German driver has instead chosen to pledge his future to Red Bull.

Commenting on his new contract, world champion, Vettel said: ‘The reason why I'll stay until 2014 with Red Bull Racing is that I feel very comfortable in the team. I am proud to be part of the team, and I am proud of what we have archived so far and will achieve together in the future.’

Vettel became the youngest-ever Formula One champion last year after fighting off team-mate Mark Webber and Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso to take the title.

Amazingly, the German had not led the championship at any stage going into the final race in Abu Dhabi, but after clinching his 10th pole position of the season at the Yas Marina circuit, Vettel went on to take victory - his third in the final four races - and with it the title.

Red Bull once again appear to be the team to beat this year, with Vettel and Webber impressing in pre-season training – making the former the favourite to claim the F1 titles in 2011.
