Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel has admitted that it will not be easy to retain his world drivers' championship in the upcoming season.
The 23-year-old became the youngest ever champion in 2010, as he secured the title in the last race of the season at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Vettel and his fellow competitors are currently coming to terms with the new Pirelli tyres that will be used this term as all eyes are focused on the first race in Melbourne on March 27.
The German is trying to stay grounded and has attempted to play down his tag as the favourite ahead of the upcoming season.
He said: "It's very difficult in the beginning to tell."
"I don't have an advantage with having the number '1' on the car. Obviously it's a nice feeling, and it was a great success and a big relief for me last year.
"Hopefully that has made me a bit stronger, but nevertheless, it will be a long, hard and tough season."
