F1 – My Passion By Rishabh Kaushik
One can be passionate about literally anything that exist or even some hypothetical driving force. Passion can be expressed as an intense emotion compelling feeling, enthusiasm, or desire for something.
In other words, a strong positive affinity of one's body (chassis for me), spirit, blood, and even a single ounce of air injecting in the torso. Some are passionate for their work, some for others, some find pleasure in exploring mother earth, whereas for some passion lies in any of entertainment art form (and not to mention, some for opposite sex!!!)
And for me, passion is a substantial force that makes anything irresistible for you, and you can practice almost anything with your flesh and bone to attain it. Exactly passion by me is an exhilarated feeling for something that as elated and amused as an engine feels when turbo kicks in it.
When it’s about passion, pleasure, stress-busters, etc, "SPORTS" is that term which is as old as crocodiles and as common as a Volkswagen Beetle. And if a sport have billion pounds worthy, state of art engineered machines, burning the asphalt at around 350+ kmph, then its sensation is second to none. I, myself is a Die Hard Enthusiast of anything on wheels and if those vulcanized beasts are driven by a 2.4lt V8 power plant roaring on a super light carbon fiber chassis, my fiery can be termed as 'insanity'.
I still clearly remember my first F1 race (on idiot box obviously!). Date-22oct2000, Sepang International circuit, Kuala Lampur, at very first corner of race 3 cars collided (not a good stuff for a eight year old's 1st race), but all this was soon outdoes by two very shiny cute (i ws 8) monsters fighting for position. And that was the first time when the red Prancing horse(no.3) stunned me. Later on Hakkinen glory made my eyes misty. But soon they were filled with joyful tears as Schumi's victory was declared. (Mika Hakkinen was penalized for a jump start). With winning 9 out of 17 GP's, the lordly german was crowned Driver's Championship (2000). Afterwards I came to know that this was Schumacher's first title won with Ferrari. So, with the aid of that very honoured day, the era of FORMULA 1 dawned in my life.
Since then, even the fear of a stuka bomber could not retreat me from following FIA. The three days span of every F1 race is nonetheless a festival at my place. And if that race is at Monaco, or Monza or Sepang or SiIverstone than the heartbeats goes insane even a week before Q-1. The finest LED's along with best in town audio system are arranged to cherish the same.
Each body part reaches to zenith height of gratification every time an engine note tuning from a brilliant exhaust merged into some most highly stressed piece of machinery on the 3rd nearest planet to sun. Whether it is Q1, Q2, Q3 or the race itself, excitement levels in me are par anything. Every overtake literally pauses my heartbeats & every accident ejects abuses (good one's!) and even tears.
I often curse myself for being born in a nation miles away from anything near motorsport or something similar but recent invasion of big brands in India and F1 itself (hopefully) had forced me to think otherwise.
